Hello I am trying to figure out if its possible to copy the entire database of SAP at a specific cut off day/time and add daily. After the database is backed up on a Friday at 7PM, Can you take the data from the weekend and Monday and add it to the original back up? Then again Tuesday and so on?
Hello ,
- What is the type and version of your database, you are looking for the backup/recovery solutions?
- If your question on the liveCache on MAXDB or MAXDB database, then the types of the backups
you could check at MAXDB documentation or SAP note
1377148 - FAQ: SAP MaxDB backup / recovery
Might be you are looking for the databackup & logbackups solutions.
A complete data backup backs up the entire data area. An incremental data backup backs up all of the data in the data area that has been changed since the last complete data backup. A log backup backs up all of the redo log entries that the database system wrote to the log area since the last log backup.

Hi Kevin,
You can do full DB back on Friday and then schedule incremental backups from Monday -> Thursday.
Hope this helps.
