All Interfaces are not working in XI/PI

Hi Experts,

We have around 15 interfaces in our landscape (PI 7.0), out of which 5 are outbound from SAP, and remaining are inbound to SAP.( eg: Cond_A, EAN, DEBMAS, CREMAS, WPUWBW,WPUBON.etc......).

Earlier all are working fine, all of a sudden, no interface is working. I have checked all the configurations. like, RFC Connections, Ports, Partner Profiles,

all are maintained properly and working fine.

All RFCs are maintained properly both in XI and R/3. Ports are pointing to correct target system. and all idoc types are maintained under partner profiles.

When we try to trigger an idoc from R/3 it's not getting generated, we're getting a waring message as " Idoc is saved and could not be processed".

Similarly, when we post a flat file in FTP, it's picked up by PI Communication channel, i'm seeing Chequered flag in SXMB_MONI, and also successfull message in message monitoring, but it's not updating to SAP R/3.

I tried to restart ths server, and did the full cache refresh. but no luck.

Please suggest your valuable inputs to resolve this issue.

Thanks in advance.

Aravind

Hello Arvind,

For Outbound IDoc Scenarios from SAP , check the Partner Profiles(WE20) and the Receiver Port(WE21) and RFC Maintained within the port to check for the details.

For Inbound Scenarios, Check SMQ2 of PI Box. Your messages must be stuck there.

Check for the details of the error and contact the Basis Team.

Thanks,

Kalyan

Hi Kalyan,

I have maintained the Partenre Profile properly in WE20 and maintained the ports in WE21.And RFC is working fine between R/3 and PI.

No error logs in SMQ1, SMQ2 and SM58.

Hi Aravind,

From the information you provided, I guess the issue is with the ECC system & the connectivity between PI and ECC.

Can you please check with your basis team whether any changes are done in ECC system in past few days.

Also, check if there are any dumps(ST22 tcode) in ECC system signifying any issue in the system.

Hi Vishnu,

No connectivity is good between ECC & PI.

No idea on changes happened on server, i found lot of dumps in ST22 of ECC System, but those are on older dates,

Hello Arvind,

How about other scenarios ? File channels are they up and running?..

In sm58 log should come. Something strange.

Tell the basis team to check the ABAP and PI system once whether the system/service are up and running

Hello Aravind,

Then better restart all the systems(PI & ECC).Then check once.

Also check all the services in PI are fine.

Check for the connectivity test between ERP and PI.

Also perform the SLDCHECK if everything is mounted correctly.

Please check if the idoc metadata is maintined correctly and the also right parametrs/options in partner profiles.

Hi Madhulatha,

It seems everything is working fine for SLDCHECK, SM59 and mounted correctly.

Metadata is also maintained properly with proper idoc message types in Partner profiles.Still it's not working.

Aravind
