Successfactors data change indicators

Dear Experts,

We are in process of integrating Successfactors with SAP/Non SAP/cloud/Non cloud systems by using SAP PI as an integration platform.

And SAP released the integration connectivity add-on 1.0 for this purpose.

Having query now, how SAP PI system will find when there is changes happened in successfactors master data.

Is this happening with Delta Sync ? Else are there any pointers/indicators in successfactors that indicating the changes happened ?

which EC API are you using for the data replication? Which is information are you interested in -  full history of changed employees or changed data for an employee?

Hi Deepak,

You need to use OData API for Compound Employee API (CE API). The CE API is a SOAP-based API and is technically part of the SFAPI.

And based on your suggestions and we are thinking of using ODATA API.

When there is a changes in EC, how these fields will be triggered automatically from successfactors?

Say in SAP ECC we can achieve it by using IDocs etc.

Hi Deepak,

The system doesn't have change indicators as per se, you just run the SAP PI job on a regular basis. However, the external event framework can help with pushing out certain changes to your middleware. See the guide at http://service.sap.com/sfsf under Foundation Capabilities.

EC is designed differently to SAP so you need to think differently. You can't really compare it to SAP.
