Not able to proceed for Role selection in an Access Request

Hello All,

I have created a Change User workflow for one of the clients where I am facing one error in one of the stages of the workflow.

There are 2 stages in the Change user workflow :

1. Manager

2. IT Security

At 2nd stage , IT security will be adding role. But when I am trying to add Role at 2nd stage, during role selection Assignment Approver field is mandatory and so I am not able to get any roles in the role search.

I am not able to proceed further. Please suggest , as to why is Assignment Approver field coming mandatory and how to avoid it ???

please read the following document carefully and provide missing information: http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-64207

If you are on AC 10.1 check the role search screen customization if this field is set mandatory.

Path:

SPRO>GRC>Access Control>User Provisioning>Configure attributes for role search criteria

You have made it mandatory in that path for role selection criteria,

if you want to disable that you can remove that selection and make in non mandatory.

then check parameter 2032 and remove the current value (I assume it's set to A).

Just FYI:

A means restricted on Role Approvers

B means restricted on Business Process

F means restricted on Functional Area
