How to provide value of parameter DIR_TEMP to /tmp

Hi All,

i do not belong to Basis team, nor do i have Basis team in my organization. So, could you let me know, how do i make value of parameter DIR_TEMP to /tmp.

presently the same is .

Hi,

DIR_TEMP is defined as system parameter and should be changed in parameter profiles.

You can use RZ10 transaction code for this.

It is not dynamicly switchable, so app instance restart is required.

Hi Palaban,

If You access to tcode AL11 You can  define a custom directory and create DIR_TEMP & provide path as /tmp.

Hi Ram,

Sorry, I forgot to tell that my OS is Windows Server. So, I do not think the same path is applicable. So, I gave \tmp, as below

I selected already existing DIT_TEMP, and clicked Configure/ Then I gave directory name as \tmp, Parameter name as DIR_TEMP , server name as <Server_Name>(from SM51), and pressed Save.

But still the value of DIR_TEMP is .

Hi Palaban,

Is there any specific reason you want to change the DIR_TEMP will be the work directory in case of your system.

So if you want to change it you need click on manager user directories and define as below:-

Hi ,

Please remove the parameter name and configure it again then save it.  It should work.
