Result Recording-Inspection Points

Hi,

I am trying to work with inspection points.

When I try to perform result recording for the inspection lot, I get the following error."Characteristic results cannot be recorded for Inspection Lot"

Message no. QE181

Can you guys please advise.

Hello Mr. Salman Ahmed,

As if you are working with Inspection Point the process might be either in production process or Calibration process.

If it is Production process assign Master Inspection Characteristics in Routing (Operations----> Inspection Characteristics) or Master Recipe(Operations----> Inspection Characteristics).

In case of Calibration Process assign Master Inspection Characteristics in Task list (Operations----> Inspection Characteristics)

Hi Salman,

Please check the quality plan (QP03) whether user has assigned the MIC or not. If the MIC got assigned then check in inspection lot change mode (QA02) in the task list tab ensure the lot created date should lies with in the quality plan created date

Hello,

The reason for this is probably based on different dates in the data. (If you use the production version and the characteristics are assigned to the routing.) When creating the inspection lot the date of the production version will is taken into account. If the inspection characteristics have been added to the assigned routing after that date, the system cannot find them. So the lot will be created without characteristics, which is correct.

After one inspection lot had been created this data will be taken into account when creating the next one.

You could:

1. Create a new production version with a valid-from date later than the valid-from date of the assigned routing and later than the creation date of the characteristics.
                                    or

2. Add the relevant data to the routing for valid-from-date ANDAT of  PLKO.
