Fiori Catalog / Apps doesn't Exist

Hi Experts,

We have just installed of SAP Fiori and activating all services according to appropriate procedure,

but tile apps, catalogs, and the group does not appear as it should be.

There is only 2 catalog, and no other standard catalog appear..

We already follow this instruction on  http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-56967

There is no error in SICF trace and SU53.

FYI,

We are running on

Hi Deny,

We faced similiar issue in quality and we were able to achieve running all the cache reports.

Make sure you have transported everything :

1. LPD CUST role

2. PFCG role

3. Tile configuration from Scope=CUST /Conf

Once above are achieved. Run the reports in your prod/quality wherever the transports are not appearing.

Run the report: /UI2/INVALIDATE_GLOBAL_CACHES in execution mode.

Synchronize chip cache

Run the report /UI2/CHIP_SYNCHRONIZE_CACHE. Make sure there is no error in the table /UI2/CHIP_CHDR

Run the report /UI2/DELETE_CACHE_AFTER_IMP.

/UI2/DELETE_CACHE

Run cache buster

Run the report /UI5/UPDATE_CACHEBUSTER.

Dear Tejas,

While I am reading your sharing seems will resolve my problem.

Shall I ask few question before simulate it in Production area ?

We found these table are empty and cross client table.

Does /UI2/INVALIDATE_GLOBAL_CACHES will populate table entries  into those tables and memory synchronization ?

We also found that SAP provide UI2/PAGE_CACHE_CREATE.

Does this program can repopulate & synchronized as like as /UI2/INVALIDATE_GLOBAL_CACHES ?

For your information, Our customer share developement and QA in same DB and machine.

I thought this problem was not happened in QA since all UI2 tables are cross client.

Shall I ask more about "3. Tile configuration from Scope=CUST /Conf" ?

How I can validate it ?

I will update you after completing Production synchronization.

Hi Deny,

Please login to launchpad designer and check whether the tile catalog which was transported, is present in the production landscape.

/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/arsrvc_upb_admn/main.html?scope=CUST

Please follow this guide, to check how to transport the catalogs to production system.

Also please check if all the roles present in dev and quality were transported, which has these authorizations.

Dear Tejas,

I already bind some catalog into customizing transport Request.

We already transported it into QA and Prod.

/UI2/CHIP, S_PB_CHIP, S_SERVICE, S_DEVELOP authorization objects already transported and attach to user role.

Do I still need to run program /UI2/INVALIDATE_GLOBAL_CACHES ?

Should I run program /UI2/PAGE_CACHE_CREATE also ?

This problem can be solved by re-create TR as your reference.

Please follow this guide, to check how to transport the catalogs to production system.

Dear Adem & Michael,

I will share the answer it tomorrow after re-validate all the configuration.

Here are complete information :

1. We have done it on Development environment with no issue.

2. We also complete UAT in QA environment with no issue.

3. We founded this issue on Production environment.

4. We already had same role for both QA and Production.

We founded those service are similar. Those services has been executed without error on both QA and Production.

Trace Log show us that FIORI launchpad Catalog has been executed without error (GET 200(OK)).

Does this finding means authorization problem. is there authorization problem happened in FIORI Production ?

Dear Adem & Michael,

RFC Destination was not problem.

We did ABAP debugging and we found search help "/UI2/PAGES_SH" as profile producer.

Yes it is empty on production environment.

We found those records was not store on ABAP transparent Table.

It was store on Memory ID 'mcx_record_tab'.

It was inside function module TABCONTROL_SH_START

Hi Deny,

Does your user 'SAP BASIS' have a business role assigned? For example if you want to use the Approve Purchase Orders app then you should assign the frontend role SAP_MM_BCR_BUYER_X1 and backend role SAP_MM_PO_APV_APP.

Hi Michael,

Yes it has fiori role assigned to the user such as sap_mm_po_apv, sap_ui2_admin, etc.. The problem is the apps / service seems doesn't activated / installed, although we already activate and install it.

When we search SAP Fiori Tile Catalog / SAP Fiori Tile Group in pfcg., no catalog was displayed..
