Monitor Log is not getting displayed?

Hi Experts,

We are extracting data from BW. When the jobs are triggered form BW through process chains, Jobs Monitor logs are not getting displayed in both Data Services Management console and DS Designer. But when we execute the same jobs from DS the monitor logs are getting displayed. What could be the reason?

Are you sure, the job works fine? So please check, if the job runs successfully in both cases?

If the job runs fine, you should get new data into your BW.

if the monitor log is big, possibly the EIM APS is timing out when reading the file from the job server, you can increase the timeout value for this do the following

assuming you are on DS 4.1 +

stop EIM APS

go to %DS_COMMON_DIR%\conf

edit Admin.xml

search for <js-socket-timeout>, by default the value is 3000, change this to 90000, don't put a random big value, 90 sec is sufficient in most cases

Start EIM APS

check if you are able to see the monitor log
