No PFCG roles for SAP Fiori Analytical App for Finance

Hi Experts,

We are in the process of configurimg Fiori Analytical Apps for Simple Finance.

We already have the 'Accounting Information for Managers' catalog in the Launchpad after assigning the respective PFCG role as defined in the implementation guide in the Fiori Apps library.

We also want to add the 'Accounts Receivable Manager' and 'Accounts Payable Manager' catalog. However, upon checking the guide there is no such details regarding to PFCG/Launchpad roles. May I know why is this so?

What are also the additional steps when configuring Analytical Apps vs Transactional Apps. All of our transactional apps are working but not a single Analytical App is working.

Hi Greg,

You'll need to assign the role in hana server side. Kindly refer the documentation on assigning the role on HANA.

Make sure you have this prerequisite four roles for your user.

sap.hba.apps.kpi.s.roles::SAP_SMART_BUSINESS_MODELER,

sap.hba.apps.kpi.s.roles::SAP_SMART_BUSINESS_RUNTIME,

sap.hba.r.sb.core.roles::SAP_SMART_BUSINESS_MODELER,

sap.hba.r.sb.core.roles::SAP_SMART_BUSINESS_RUNTIME.

Appreciate your reply. Are there no required front-end/back-end/launchpad PFCG roles for this app? Will the HANA roles be enough for the catalog to appear in the launchpad?

Hi Greg,

You may need to follow to the documentation of each respective apps. However, for the simple finance analytic app, this two roles is compulsory needed to assign to the respective user in order to use the analytic app.
