Auth variable BW - BIWS - Dashboard -"User not Authorized error"

Hi

I am a Dashboard Designer. I have created a dashboard which uses BIWS. Authorizations have been applied to the variable Sales org in queries at BW level.

Web Intelligence Report on which BIWS is built refreshes and runs fine with the assigned authorization but Web Service when tested in "Manage BI Services" gives this error : "BW System QBW returned state 'USER_NOT_AUTHORIZED'. Message = You do not have sufficient authorization".

Also, the dashboard gives the same error. Please help and support.

Hi,

Please analyze which underlying BEx Query is giving an authorization error. You (or one of your colleagues specialized in BW Analysis Authorizations) have to analyze the BEx Query using the authorization trace functionality (t/code RSECADMIN - execute as user <your_user>). Here you will get the details why the authorization check fails.
