MRP issue for Spares Material with Reorder point and FX lot size

Hi PP Gurus,

I have issue in MRP for Spares Material where no PR's are generated after MRP BG Job run.

Client wants to run the MRP via BG Job only and not ready to use MD03 or any Manual transaction.

Following are the Master data settings,

ECC6.0

MRP Type- VB - Manual Reorder Point

Reorder Point- 1

Lot Size - FX

Fix Lot Size - 1

client don't want to maintain the Safety stock .

Go-Live has been done in last month only and NO PR's are created even if Stock is ZERO.

Pl help me if any Data is missing.

Hello

Before running MRP for the first time, you must run transaction MDAB, to make sure that all the planning file entreis were created.

can you Pl tell me steps to perform MDAB. so that all the Net change indicators are marked for that material.

Hello

MDAB does not mark the NETCH indicator if the planning file entry already exists.

This transaction was developed specifically to create the planning file entry when it is missing, not to check the flags.

Hi Caetano,

thanks for your help. This issue now resolved. I have updated the Planning file entry with MDAB.

Now PR's are generated in MRP BG job run.

Hi Sachin,

For achieving this requirement you have to maintain the MRP Area only for these spare components.

similarly you have to maintain the MRP type as VB and what is your reorder quantity in the MRP1

view. Then run the create the variant for that MRP area then schedule it in back ground

Hi Sachin,

Check planning file entries for this material in MD21. Do you see any indicator againts net change planning or Net change with horizon ?

Whats the program used in background job and what are the selection parameters in Variant ?

I have checked the MD21 Planning file entry and currently no indicator are set.

MRP program is RMMRP000

Variant details are

Plant-

Processing Key - NEUPL for weekly job and NETCH for Daily job

Create Pur Req- 1

Schedule lines -3

Create MRP list - 1

Planning Mode -3

Scheduling - 1

Display MRP List - X

can You Pl tell me how set the Planning file entry for all the Materials since it is very time consuming to do in MD20 for each material.

Did you check on transaction MD05 if any exception happened for this material?

In addition, are you using parallel processing or are you running on a retail system?
