Hi all,
I'm looking for a way to make the management of XI interfaces more vivid. Existing documentation on customers sites could be better... hardly any standaards and very little visual. (a picture tells a 1000 words).
Does anyone knows if there is a way to produce automatic Interfaces documentation in XI that will pick up all END to END parts of the interface...
(--> Proxies, channels, agreement,Receiver etc. to the sending ... channels,Proxies --> and in the middel the hirarchy of the IM - MM - MT - DT... etc) - and produce a flow chart that states the names of the used objects, and the main details with in.
I thought I'd ask - before I start programming - using the export file as input.
I'm looking forward to hear if there is such aexisting aid.
Kind Regards,
Doron Zaccai

Doron,
This is the exact purpose of an Integration Scenario. You get both the high level view and a low level view.

Bhavesh,
Thank you for your response. I agree on the "general" idea.
What striks me - is that XI does not have a good Print facility for the Integration Scenario's. Also, most customers do not create them.
I read your article, it is very good. The "dril" down is great.
Your answer is also helpful.
Thank you!
Doron.
Hello, Doron,
this is new project has been founded for painting "the whole big XI scheme". For example, [picture|http://hixay.googlecode.com/files/script_everything.png] is made after analyzing only one configuration scenario. The other picture is very big (approx. 3 megabytes) but it describes much of scenarios -- it's [here|http://hixay.googlecode.com/files/script3.png], and it's fully automatically-made too.
Also, simple excel table of communication channels is provided, so see it on [http://code.google.com/p/hixay/downloads/list].
Hi,
In Solution manager or ARIS , we have such type project management designs, we can import it into design stright away , and export it also , we have a provision like BPEL4WS standard approach..
am i saying related to your requirement??

Thank you Chilla (quick response!)
The link did not work, but I got to the website, and in the product catalog, there was ARIS for XI, and examples of screen shots that looked like what I was looking for. (generally). I have seen Aris before, but only as "visio" like PC tool. I haven't checked it, or used it, for import of real Interfaces of XI 3.0.
I called Germany, and will be contacted back for details and demo version. price is unknown to me yet.
Maybe this is the ultimate solution - the formal one.
My problem is not solved yet, but you did answer the question. I hope the charts that Aris produces has all the details I'd like to see.
Thnak you,
Doron
