Hello,

we need to activate the archiving of in- and outbound IDOCs on SAP NetWeaver PI. However, I am unable to find any guides on how to this. Can someone help? Thank you in advance.

Best wishes and regards,

Colin

Hi Marcelo,

thank you  for the information.

However I am still looking for more documentation for how to activate archiving specifically on the Java stack.

Is there anything I could use? Thanks.

Regards

Colin

Thank you everybody for the helpful information.

However, having set up everything as described, the archiving job states that no documents were archived. Am I still missing out on some parameters? I ran the job manually 7 times and have planned it for tonight but I don't expect anything to happen. What can i do?

Greetings,

Colin

Hi Colin,

Is there any information in the log like any warnings/error?

Hi Vishnu,

no, there is nothing. The job simply returns "number of archived messages: 0"

Hi Colin,

Its very weird if it is not showing any log.

Can you please check whether the background job which you have scheduled to perform this task is active or not. Also, please check the parameter specifying the messages which are older, you are archiving.

Hi Vishnu,

thank you, but I'm looking for a how-to guide for archiving on the Java stack.

Do you have anything for that case?

Hi Colin,

Can you refer the below blog where we can achieve archiving using XMLDAS archive mechanism.

For deletion, we can go for background job.
