Hi all,
Im looking for optimal production supply process.
Assumptions:
Material D - FERT BOM:
Material A - RAW - 500g
Material B - RAW - 10g
Material C - RAW - 1 pcs
Material A is stored in silo. storage type 001 storage bin SILO1
Material B is storeg in 25kg bags storage type 002 storage bin 001-001
Material C is stored in 1000pcs box storage type 002 storage bin 002-122
My idea is create storage type PRD storage bin PRODUCTION
After release production order system should check availability of Material C in PRD PRODUCTION.
If its not enough to cover production, TO should be created for 1box.
Material B is frequently used and its always in PRD PRODUCTION.
My idea is place between warehouse and production 4 plastic bins.
If two bins are empty system should create TO for 1BAG 25kg.
Warehouse man will put it in to two bins 12,5 kg each.
So supply is not dependent to production order but for confirming
empty bin in RF menu. Kind of Kanban.
Material A is stored in Silo. I would like to backflush automatically
from 001 SILO1 during production posting. No TR and TO after production order release.
Material B and C should be backflushed from PRD PRODUCTION.
How to organize control cycles?
Which staging indicator is correct for materials.
I hope is clear.
In standard SAP you have the provision to show the warehouse stock and bin stock, please have a look on existing thread
http://scn.sap.com/thread/3580410
Also few query
1) is this PRD/ PRODUCTION is a part of Production line side ?
2) the stock which is lying in PRD is for another production order for which production is in WIP so while releasing another production order why do you want to check the stock for new production order ?

Thanks for reply.
LP12 is empty. No release parts found. Message no. LP062
1) PRD/PRODUCTION Yes, its place from where consumption takes place.
2) Because I would like to supply production using WM units.
i.e. Material C - Production order no1. request 500 pcs
from warehouse to PRD PRODUCTION was transfered 1 box - 1000pcs
Production order no2. request 500 pcs.
No TO is necessary because in PRD PRODUCTION is 1000 pcs (500 pcs are reserved for PrdOrd1. but 500 is still free for use)
maintain the staging indicator as 3-Release order part and try with LP12
with regard to other you mentioned that the requirement is for 500 pc but you transfer 1000pc so this looks to me that you are or supplying more then what is required (What is the basis for this) if that is the case then why don't you consider the follow the KANBAN for that material too.
Im not considering Kanban for Material C because is not frequently used.
I have no place for Kanban for all materials. I need it periodically, so there is no point make Kanban if most of the year this material is dead.
Maybe Event-Driven Kanban in this case, but I have no experience about this.
Material A is now working according to my requirements.
I set SUPPLY AREA - name CENTRAL
create CONTROL CYCLE - for SUPPLY AREA [CENTRAL] - with destination 001/SILO1
staging indicator [1].
Set in MM/MRP2 [CENTRAL] in DEFAULT SUPPLY AREA for Material A
Posting production cause automatically backflush material A from 001/SILO1 with qty defined in BOM.
