Hi Team,
When ONE EMPLOYEE trying to apply the leave through ESS, system shows Approver does not exist.
(For the rest employees its working fine)
We have checked the following way:-
go to PTARQ and check in "Determine approver " by giving employee number over there and check whether it is picking the manager user id with name over there............
Reporting person ID does not exits
go to P013 and give employee position number there and check his reporting manager is picking over there .
Please suggest!

You can debug the method IF_EX_PT_GEN_REQ~FIND_RESP_AND_DEFAULT_NEXT_PRC in BADI PT_GEN_REQ and check it why it's not picking up the manager name in processor field.

Check below things.
Find out the employee position number and check whether relationship 002 existing or not you can take the help of HRP1001 with validity periods.
Check IT0105 with subtype 0001 user name details or maintained or not for both the positions.
Position of employee and Position of reporting officer.
Check relationship 008 as well for both the positions.
Further take reference as a employee whom it is working fine and check the master in mentioned tables, maintain all necessary details and then check HRESSAPPROVER table.

You may can check the below to explore...
1. Position to Position Relationship, Mgr Relationship ( A / B 002 ,A/B 012- Check if this position have more than one Mgr./reporting)
2. Check for the other employees who is reporting to the same manager
3. Check with the Workflow Consultant for Trace.

Hi,
I would make sure that PA and OM is setup perfect.
Check the user in PA20 for Userid in INFTY 0105.
User correct and created in SU01.
Check PPOME for the ORG->position and PERNR binding.
Could there be an auth. issue? ->I doubt it but try with a st01 trace to be sure.
Check for position validation date which maybe could cause a problem as well.
It seems like there is a OM setup that has not been completed.
