Configuration wizard task for PI system copy

Hi All,

Basis team has taken PI prod system copy and created sandbox system.

Can anybody let me know what are the post installation steps required to complete in sandbox system?

Do we need to execute PI system copy in Sandbox system?

in sand box sld related connections are not working.

I have asked basis team to follow this wiki. How to Manually Correct the Registration of XI Components Within the SLD - Process Integration - SCN...

but still the sld registration error exists.

adding in loop.

Hello Muni,

Thank you for the confirmation.

The details you need are in the system copy guide. Download the guide, read and follow as described in section "7.2.4.2.6 Process Integration (PI)".

In this section, you can see it asks to execute task “PI System Copy”. However, the next sub-sections shows some additional steps you must perform, as example, configuring the SLD (section 7.2.4.2.6.1 System Landscape Directory).

Each sub-section from "7.2.4.2.6 Process Integration (PI)" has details that you must to follow, in order to properly configure your PI system. It is not only running some tasks, there are some other steps and they are described in the system copy guide.

Thank you Henrique. system is working fine now. i will list down what we did to solve the issue. it will be helpful for me one day.

There were lot of missing activities after system copy.

1. corrected exchange profile parameters like hostname,system id and sld connection url

2. corrected http destination sld_client and sld supplier (user j2ee_admin did not have correct roles so assigned correct roles. actually we have dedicated users for these destinations but it was nightmare to explain to basis. they have used j2ee_admin for these destinations.

3. completed wizard task PI fully qualified host name task and PI SLD self registration

4. then continued with wizard task, PI system copy, got error to download sld contents. did the sld download

5. executed one more time wizard tasks, sld self registration and system copy

6. all components got registered except adapter framework.

then followed blog

using url http://<pi host>:<pi port>/AdapterFramework/rtc?op=register , we have registered adapter framework components also. j2ee_admin user used for this.

7. finally did one system restart.

Thank you. could you please let me know list of tasks to be executed for copied system?

system is not working properly as these tasks are not completed. If i have the list i can tell basis to complete.
