CTM - Late demand fullilment Standard Procedure

Hello Gurus,

I have a Purchase order in December 2015 and a demand in August 2015.When i run CTM with standard procedure for late demand fulfillment it is waiting till December to satisfy the demand rather than generating Pur Req in August .

Is this behaviour because when the internal sequence of search strategy says as below.We have no search strategy maintained.

Please correct me if i am wrong .

Hi Nick

this is standard behavior. If you want to generate supplies in august go to CTM profile on strategies tab, then to special strategies, select "keep lateness to minimum" for field late demand fulfillment. Thereafter take CTM run and you should have supplies in August.

Hello Rahul,

Can you please shed some light on how the planning happens with standard procedure . I have gone through the help document for Standard procedure with backward scheduling but could not understand much of it.
