Overwrite Existing file in Transport Protocol FTP

Hi Gurus,

I want to choose the option of Overwrite Existing file in Receiver FTP channel.

This option is available when I am using Transport protocol as NFS.

But when using transport protocol FTP with Put file option as Create, then Overwrite Existing file is lost.

Please help me understanding why is this happening?

that is limitation of FTP file adapter, that option you can not use

Just asking out of curiosity.

Why SAP has not considered this option if you are aware of.

Hi Sarvjeet,

I think the problem is to control if the file is being used or not. You can try with the parameter file.overWrite (Adapter Engine (Java SE) - SAP Library), but i think it will not work on FTP mode.
