Authorization issue in HANA

Hello Everyone,

I have admin access and I created one user ID and tried to grant select on access to that user id to _SYS_REP user,

Executed Below SQLScript:

GRANT SELECT ON SCHEMA  "your user" TO _SYS_REPO WITH GRANT OPTION

But  when I executed the above statement it is throwing "Insufficient Previlege".

Actual issue was, I was getting authorization issue when tried to see data preview on Calculation view so I am trying to provide this access to check if it resolved that access issue.

Kindly please help me resolving this.

Thanks,

Sri

Hi Sri,

The user that is running the GRANT statement must have access to the schema you are referring to and must have GRANT themselves.  So I would look at the user ID for the user that you are using and look 1) In OBJECT PRIVILEGES tab for this schema to be listed or 2) It could be assigned to this user via <DEFAULT SCHEMA>SELECT_USER.  Most likely I'm guessing you have this role which does not allow grant.  You may need to use the schema user itself or system user to assign the access or another user that may have access to the schema.
