Hi,

How do we handle Rough cut capacity planning in IBP ?

What is the roadmap for these  Planning topics in IBP ?

  1. SNP Capacity levelling
  2. Deployment
  3. TLB
  4. CTM

What is the difference between ‘Collaborative Demand planning in APO ‘ and Consensus planning in IBP SOP ? – on functional aspects.

Thanks

Rough Cut Capacity Planning is tactical planning by nature.  This can be covered by IBP for supply, which contains both an unconstrained heuristics and constrained optimization algorithm based on a Times Series data model.

  1. Capacity Leveling is a Roadmap item, it will be a the 2nd step of the unconstrained heuristics run.
  2. Deployment is a Roadmap item, details in process.
  3. TLB is a Roadmap item, details in process.
  4. CTM is the APO algorithm that deals with prioritized demand. In IBP for response and supply (not released yet) there is a new prioritization algorithm that is similar to this but with some other features and advantages.

Hi,

You can hadle RCCP with the use of unconstrained heuristics. Demand gets propagated through your supply chain network down to the resource level. Utilization pct key figure indicates the capacity load vs available capacity. You can use a Capacity Overload alert to highlight utilization higher than a specific percentage.
