Hi,
In the aforementioned note they say you need to proceed with the following steps to identify the ODBC driver.
Log on as user <sid>adm.
Open any developer trace file dev_wX from /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS<nn>/work.
Search for string "Driver: Adaptive Server Enterprise (ANSI) Driver release:".
Now in my case there is now ANSI string but there is the following:
C Driver: Adaptive Server Enterprise Driver release: 16.0.00.02
C Driver full version: SAP ASE ODBC Driver/16.0.00.02/16.0 PL02/P/x86_64/Windows/drvmain/Build 1/64-bit/Normal/Sat Apr 12 UTC 06:53:06 2014/SQLLEN8
C Driver uses SQLLEN8
C dbs/syb/cache_size: 300
C GetServerInfo version: Adaptive Server Enterprise/16.0 GA PL01/EBF 22540 SMP/P/X64/Windows Server/ase160sp00pl01/3523/64-bit/FBO/Tue Apr 15 19:04:17 2014
Can you please update or add an additional search string within the note containing:
"Driver: Adaptive Server Enterprise Driver release"
Kind Regards,
Johan
Hello Johan,
Thanks to point us to this. In fact the "ANSI" string is not present in latest ODBC driver 15.7 either, I guess it was present on older releases (< SP100).
I'll contact responsible to update the SAP Note accordingly.
Regards,
Cris
