Hi All,
I am trying to close a project cycle. But one of the system has been shutdown and decommisioned. Now while closing the cycle it says the RFC to the system is closed. As a result i am not able to close the cycle.
Is there any way without starting up the system again i can close the cycles ?
BR, Alex
Hi Alex,
I too agree with Tom Cenens
Its risky affair to close the Project cycle forcefully. You may losse the data and inconsistency will be always be there in the system landscape.

Hi Alex, you can deactivate system in LMDB so that it's not checked while closing the cycle. In LMDB / technical system, set Lifecycle status to inactive.
Then you'll need to upate the logical component before creating new tasklist.

Hello Alex,
Did you read note 933705 - Closing inconsistent project cycles?

Hi Alex
I would open a message for SAP support in such a case. Forcing the closure is dangerous and could render the whole to become unusable.
Best practice is to close the cycle(s) before making any landscape changes (removing or adding systems), making the change and then create new cycle(s).
Best regards
Tom
