Create Remote Source in HDBROLE

Hi guys,

I want to add the sql object privileges DROP and CREATE VIRTUAL TABLE on my remote source within my Design Time Role. But I cant find the correct synthax in the documentation.

catalog sql object "REMOTESOURCE": DROP or similar syntax doesnt work.

Any experience?

Hi piverstr,

I don't think it's possible to add REMOTE source privileges in design time roles (.hdbrole)! On the other hand it's possible to GRANT the privileges to the .hdbrole. Of course that would be a runtime maintenance!

Hi Christoph,

I have used HANA Studio for doing the same.

Under object previlage - > add your object and check mark on "Create virtual table " & "Drop".

I have to script it within my Repo role. Therefore I need the correct synthax and cannot add it via Studio.
