Hai,

1. What is the drop shipment and Factory Direct Shipment? In which scenarios we use these?

2. How to create the final settlement in Rebates?

Hi,

to make the final settlement for a rebate agreement go to change mode of the rebate agreement,in the control data agreement status must be set to open and then press the push button execute settlement, system automatically creates rebate creditmemo request in the back ground and gives the number, go to change mode of creditmemo request deactivate the billing block, create credit memo with reference to creditmemo request.

drop ship :

Drop shipping is a supply chain management technique in which the retailer does not keep goods in stock, but instead transfers customer orders and shipment details to wholesalers, who then ship the goods directly to the customer . The retailers make their profit on the difference between the wholesale and retail price.

direct ship :

This would be the manufacturer would be suppliying the product directly from the nearest factory/warehouse to the end customer.

As per my knowledge

Factory shipment: Items shipped directly from the factory, which are noted as Freight-On-Board (FOB), are billed an additional cost for shipping and handling. FOB shipping charges may depend on destination as well as weight.

Drop shipment : It is a type of retailing where the retailer does not keep goods in stock, but instead passes the customer's order and shipment details to the wholesaler, who then dispatches the goods to the customer directly. The retailer makes their profit on the difference between the wholesale and retail price.
