HI All,
could you please explain me why should we create Header Mapping in Receiver Agreement?
I am working on 2 interfaces.
1.IDOC to IDOC
2.AS2 to FILE
Please let me know should we create Header Mapping for this?
Thanks in Advance.
Regards
Khasim
Hello Khasim,
Header mapping can be used if you want to hide your internal system names from the business partner. These are useful in B2B communications where you can mask your internal systems like party, business component etc...
Eg: assume that, you have a scenario with sender party as 'SParty' and sender component as 'SCompo'. You can mask these internal names by using dummy values ( may be like 'DummyParty', 'DummyCompo') by applying header mapping. Now the business partner will be able to see only the dummy values (ie, sender party as 'DummyParty' and sender component as 'DummyCompo').
More details can be found in the below link.

Hi Chinna,
Header Mapping are available on IDOC adapter but not in file adapter: Defining Header Mappings - Integration Directory - SAP Library
You can set the partner profile on the IDOC control segment, afaik is not mandatory to use.
