Password reset of SAP ID using PSS in AC 10.1 although login is through LDAP ID and pwd ?

Dear Team,

I am using Password Self Service ( PSS ) functionality in AC 10.1 .

SAP ID of every user will be mapped onto a concerned Field in LDAP. And respective group field mapping will be maintained in SPRO of GRC system.

Users will be authenticated using LDAP ID and password to log in into End user login page. After logging in, the PSS functionality in AC 10.1 must Reset SAP password of that particular user and not the LDAP password.

Is this possible ??

Please suggest.

Regards,

Rahul Muni

Hello Rahul,

Please do not create duplicate post.

you already have a post for LDAP and PSS.

User can logon using LDAP it to END User Logon screen.

and during PSS the SAP id get populated using user detail data source.

if you use LDAP as authentication ensure you have LDAP as user details data source as well.

what Plaban explains here is conifg steps.

Prasant

Hi Rahul,

Yes, its very much possible.

LDAP authentication will get you through the "End User Login" page.

The password self service will allow you to reset the password of the SAP systems (you can choose the systems for which you need to reset). The following should be completed.,

- PSS configuration is complete

- SAP connectors are enabled for PSS

- Repository sync completed for SAP connectors

Thanks.

HI Prashant,

thanks for the additional inf. But, would the connector appear in the list of connectors , if PSS is not tick marked?

i think details of a SAP id, like Manager, Email id, Manager's email id, etc, belong to User detail Data source. While SAP id is fetched from User search data  source

Could you rectify, if i am incorrect

Plaban,

First look into his query..it was not related to how to setup PSS.

fetching id for SAP system using ldap attribute is his query.

try LDAP as user search data source and authentication data source.

do not use for detail data source.

and have sap ID mapped to physical attribute.

and you will find your answer.

Hello Prasant, Hello Plaban ,

Thank you for your inputs ..

Just wanted to clarify that, I am not raising duplicate posts ... earlier post was related to Configuration.

But surely will keep it in mind in future. Thank you again..!
