Error - Service could not be reached

Dear All,

Our servers have migrated, which has led to change in IP address and host name of the SAP systems. In our enviornment, we have dev, quality and production system. Respectively, our ESS/MSS dev and quality are on same server and ESS/MSS on different.

Presently SAP HR Dev, Quality and ESS/MSS dev and quality have moved.

In process of testing the connectivity between SAP HR & ESS/MSS, the following scenario is being replicated.

I applied leave through ESS for an employee and then logged on through the manager ID to approve it in MSS but getting the below error.

I have updated the host files as well in the system.

Request you to let me know, if any configuration changes are required to be done to resolve this error.

Regards

Simran Longia

Hi Simran ,

make sure the leave approval application is activated in the 'SICF" if you are using the WDA services for ESS&MSS.

in Content administration -> Portal administration -> Company content -> Employee self service -> iViews -> working time

I can see below mentioned link maintained in "External Link" field.

webdynpro:java/sap.com/ess~lea/com.sap.xss.hr.lea.appl.LeaveRequestApprover/base

                APPLICATION              LeaveRequestApprover

                DYNPARAM                 wi_id=${item.externalId}

add above settings and save it and re-register uwl from portal once and check again

Hi Simran,

Can you confirm your ICM details are pointing to which system portal or ECC in system object.

We had a similar issue in approving the leave even though the work item was appearing in manager's uwl. Later we figured out the system object required ICM details pointing to portal url for leave approval.

Thanks & Regards,

you need to check the connection to the system ie SAP HCM system ie jco connection.

system alias?

Clearly UWL settings are missing for this scenario,

Not sure which version of leave approval you are using?

Please check here
