Not able to register or maintain Gateway service

Hi Expert,

We are trying to register the Gateway System (NWG) in ECC System (DVF) in Transaction Code SEGW. but i am not able to do so.

Also its not giving any error. as soon as its asks for confirmation its goes back to the original screen instead of moving ahead with the registration

I was able to register the DVF system.

Please see the screenshot for SEGW and System Aliases and the Gateway Settings.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks & Regards

Arif Shaikh

Hi Arif,

What is the value of the parameter gw/acl_mode in DVF system?

If the value is set to 1 then have you maintained the TP in reginfo and secinfo?

Do you see any specific errors in gateway log dev_rd?

Gateway Access Control Lists - Application Server Infrastructure - SCN Wiki

the above link contains more information on ACL mode of gateway.

Hi Shantosh,

Value of parameter gw/acl_mode in DVF system is set to 1.

Can we reset the value to 0.

or we have to maintain the TP in reginfo and secinfo?

Also the Gateway log dev_rd has nothing to show.

Can you help?

SAP doesn't recomment to deactivate the gateway security features i.e making gw/acl_mode = 0. Make the relavent entry in the reginfo and secinfo file and test the connection again.

Please go see the video in the note 1850230 and 2075799

This will help you in understanding how register the program in the gateway.

Please read the link which I have provided earlier and let me know if you need any help.

Thanks Shanthosh.

I have Made the relevant entry in the reginfo and secinfo file and tested the connection again, but its still the same. I have made the entry in ECC DVE System

Do we have to make an entry in NWG System also or only in ECC or NWG i:e either one of them????
