SAP Cost Planning & Budgeting

Dear PS Friends,

I just want to clarify a doubt regarding plan cost maintenance & Budget for Project Structure.

Scenario.

If I maintain plan cost for network activities ( internal) for the project structure and maintain budget ( Normally my budget is the sum of network activities (for the WBS) I am not able to release the budget it is giving me error "Budget was exceeded by ---- in document item for --- WBS element"

But if I remove the cost plan from network activities i am able to release the budget . Could you please tell me the reason for it and is there any way I can have both plan cost planned with budget control.

Hi,

From your mail I can able to understand that you are getting this error during Budget Release (CJ32).

Can you show report screen shot of Original Budget, assigned Budget, Release Budget.

May be plan cost of Network activity is added in assigned value for that WBS.

Is Planning Indicator is Ticked for Network Type??

Issue is now I cannot rlease budget in CJ32 and Save

From 1st screen I can see you have entered Budget of 310 (250 + 60 )

and Network activity Plan cost is also 310 for Project

What is Input to CJ32, also mention detail error with value.

What values you are putting in CJ32 and what is error message?

What is the PO value?  What do you have in CJ30 and CJ32 for respective WBS-element?

What are your Tolerance limits settings?
