Delay and error when send files from SAP to a FTP

Hi guys!

Here I am again with another question about FTP transfer.

I write a simple program that :

1 - connects to a FTP server using sapftpa rfc

2 - executes a cd command

3 - executes a ls command

4 - executes a lcd command

5 - changes to binary mode

6 - execute a command put

here the output

cd nofirmados

250 Directory successfully changed.

ls

200 PORT command successful. Consider using PASV.

150 Here comes the directory listing.

-rw-r  r      1 1001     1001          448 Aug 27 21:33 M-9000365484-400003051.t

-rw-r  r      1 1001     1001          521 Aug 27 22:16 M-9000365484-400003052.t

-rw-r  r      1 1001     1001         1792 Aug 28 11:32 M-9000365484-400003054.p

-rw-r  r      1 1001     1001          521 Aug 27 22:54 M-9000365484-400003054.t

226 Directory send OK.

lcd /usr/sap/tmp

Local directory now /usr/sap/tmp

binary

200 Switching to Binary mode.

put M-9000365484-400003054.pdf

200 PORT command successful. Consider using PASV.

150 Ok to send data.

421 Data timeout. Reconnect. Sorry.

Every thing works fine except the step 6 ... I ran this program via se38 and choosing execute in background. Then I go to sm37 to see the job ... the file I'm trying to transfer is a pdf with 30 kbytes  but it's taking 10 minutes to process and tell me this error... this is the job log :

The long text for this error is :

FTP subcommand: Server reports error

Message no. 04209

So, I have some questions here ... Could it be some basis issue? And this message that ftp server send me Consider using PASV. Is it possible set this in the program or is it done for the basis people?

cheers

Ronaldo.

The problem was solved.

It's a firewall configuration problem. I don't know what kind of parameter the firewall people change, but it's solve the problem.

I hope this message serves to give a clue for somebody who have the same problem.

cheers

Ronaldo
