How can I download files in SAP ECC OS folder from using SAP PI scenario

Dear All,

I need to create a pass through scenario ( XI to File )  in which I receives files through XI adapter and I need to download those files in a folder in operating system of SAP ECC .

Please let me know the prerequisite for the above set up and kindly answer below queries.

1. Can I use file adapter with NFS or FTP ?.

2. If Folder is in SAP PI or if the ECC folder is mounted in SAP PI, I believe we can use NFS  protocol in File adapter to place pr pick the files.

3.  Do I need to open any host or port to connect with SAP PI and SAP ECC if not the folder is mounted in SAP PI ?

4. Without mounting the ECC folder with PI , Is it possible ?

If the file system is mounted then you can go for NFS

if not you need to check if the FTP service has been enabled if so you can go for FTP and you need all the information such as host,port, directory etc.
