error with KB2820470

dear folks,

I´m facing this error when I´m trying to install the EHP7 for ERP 6.0 Pre-Check:

New Continuous Availability feature on Windows Server 2012/R2 can result in long waiting times. Please apply Microsoft KB 2820470 http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2820470. (Updated 2014-10-01)

I downloaded the hotfix (Windows8-RT-KB2820470-x64) and tried to install and it says "the update is not applicable to your computer".

I´m running windows server 2012 r2 Standard

So i tried the manual mode as explained on the Microsoft page but nothing

Locate and then tap or click the following registry subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkStation\Parameters

On the Edit menu, point to New, and then tap or click DWORD Value.

Type DisableCARetryOnInitialConnect.

Press and hold or right-click DisableCARetryOnInitialConnect, and then tap or click Modify.

In the Value data box, type 1, and then tap or click OK.

Exit Registry Editor.

Any idea please.

Hi,

just want to share my mistake maybe other can do also, i chose the Q_WORD and not D_WORD moved by the OS Architecture. The DWORD is for 32bit and the QWORD is for 64bit.

1. Could you share the full log as attachment?

2.  Is this any antivirus software installed on the same server? if it is yes, disable the antivirus software and then try.

3. Check this SCN thread with same issue
