Fiori Launchpad "Cannot load tile"

Former Member

Hello,

Ive seen a few of these posts on SCN but none of the correct answers worked for me. I think it is because I get the error after performing different steps.

How I get the error is:

  • I create a catalog with a few apps certain users will use. (eg. Leave Request v1, Timesheet v1)
  • I assign the required roles and add the tiles to the home group on the users launchpad.
  • I decide that I want to replace version 1 with version 2 and without first deleting the tiles from the users home group I delete the tiles from the catalog directly and add the version 2 tiles.
  • When I log back into the users launchpad I see 2 cannot load tiles and the 2 new version 2 tiles.

Ive done this before while the tiles were in a custom group and getting rid of the error was a matter of deleting that group. I cant delete the users My Home group so how do I get rid of the Cannot load tile error?

What i've tried:

  • Delete and recreate the services (pagebuilder_pers, cust, conf).
  • Delete and recreate the user in the front-end.
  • Delete and recreate the catalog.
  • Delete and recreate the roles.
  • Cleared cache

None of the above gets rid of the "Cannot load tile" tiles.

Here are my screenshots:

Thanks in advance.

Jared

Thanks for the replies.

The tile is not configured in Launchpad Designer. As stated above I delete the tile config for leave request v1 and configured a new tile for leave request v2.

I log into launchpad and see leave request v2 tile and a cannot load tile tile.

My authorisations are also fine.

If I delete all my application authorisations I would see no tiles. Even with no authorisations for applications I still see the "cannot load tile" under my home group on my launchpad.

Hi Jared,

I have quick fix for this issue. My solution is not technical but just logical after doing some trials. Follow these steps :

1. Go to launchpad

2. Keep mouse over the tile which needs to be deleted

3. Click on control button, now this tile will get focus

4. Simply click on delete.

You can see, tile is gone. Try, it will work 100%. Have done the same in my case.

Thanks,

Arun.

Simply you can clear caches in back-end system with the help of below Tcodes and you will see your tile details in fiory launchpad .

/n/iwbep/cache_cleanup

/n/iwfnd/cache_cleanup

It worked for me.

If you want to fix this as an admin follow note 2266246 and then run the transaction

Hi Jared,

please execute the transactions /UI2/FLC and /UI2/FLIA using the corresponding catalog, and please check if there is any error with the tile or the navigation.

You can check an error info message on the end of the report in the last column and you can find the issue relatred in the help documents:

Launchpad Content Checks - User Interface Add-On for SAP NetWeaver - SAP Library

Intent Resolution - User Interface Add-On for SAP NetWeaver - SAP Library

Also please make sure that the PAGE_BUILDER_PERS is activated in SICF and in the gateway config point to the LOCAL host.

Best regards,

Janos

Hi Jared,

Check your SU53 logs.

You should have admin roles : SAP_UI2_ADMIN_700

Auth objects below are required, Create a z role and add below :

S_SERVICE, S_DEVELOP, /UI2/CHIP, S_RFC_ACL, and S_CTS_SADM

Addition to Adem reply. You should login to launchpad configuration page and make sure the tile is able to load in launchpad configuration. Launchpad config sample link is like this.

https://<host><port>/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/arsrvc_upb_admn/main.html?scope=CONF#

If it is not loaded, make sure you have assign pfcg role to your user.

Thanks.
