Dear All,
I'm performing oracle 10G dbrefresh from Production to Quality server.
Both SAP Servers having it's own schema names like SAPPRD & SAPQAS; instead of SAPSR3 schema name.
Please guide me with steps for dbrefresh.
Note: I have seen in system copy guide, we can't change db schema names while performing homogeneous system copy with dbspecific method.
In this case I need to follow R3load method. Since it's fresh setup with my own db backup.(sap application & db setup with production exports)
Your valuable suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks
Venkat.

And what exactly makes you think that you have to change db schema name?
You may keep PRD schema name even for QUA.
Just make sure you set environment correctly.
dbs_ora_schema=PRD

Hi Venkatesh,
You have to use R3load method to change the schema of the database.
Backup and recovery method will not allow you to change the schema.

Hi Venkat,
You have to use R3load in order to change database schema.
Or you have to perform export and import to new schema via oracle method. Afterwards you need to set up the new schema permission for SAP environment.
But R3load is recommended.
Best regards,
James
