SAP PCo Agent not starting automatically

Hi Experts,

We have SAP PCo agents configured on MII server and they are connecting to PI servers.

Some times these agents does not start automatically when ever PI servers are patched and restarted.

At those times we need to manually start these agents.

Services startup Type is Automatic

we are using PCo version 2.2

Is there a configuration or setting that is required so that these agents connect automatically (start) whenever PI servers are available?

Hi Guru,

For the PCo PI Agent, on the Reliable Connection tab, set the Max No. of Retries and Retry interval such that PCo will retry failed connections for a sufficient duration to reconnect after a PI server is patched and restarted.  Typically, Max No. of Retries is set to a large number (i.e., 9999) and retry interface is set at 30 sec, this means that PCo agent instance will stay running and attempt to reconnect to a failed PI server for up to 3.47 days before it fails on no connection.
