Connection with SAP gateway failed with SAP Lumira 1.28

I am trying to connect to SAP ECC 6 release 702 with SAP Lumira 1.28 and I got error message as below:

"Driver error, connection with SAP gateway failed".

Can anyone advise?

Hi,

are you connecting using the freehand sql connector or universe?

pls could you post up an image of how you are connecting (parameters, where possible)

Hi,

from what i can make out, you may need to make a small change on your desktop client

it is described in https://scn.sap.com/thread/1242668 . the prerequisite on the SAP module side, which i assume is ok, is to Manually configure an RFC destination as per Sap note 1638647

Now - the change you need to make :  

Add the following in the Services file where Lumira resides. On windows the location of file is under: \Windows\System32\drivers\etc\services

Now add an entry to map to your SAP system. the syntax of the file is <service name> <port number>/<protocol>      ie.: sapgw00  3300/tcp      Where:  sapgw<SystemNumber of BW> 33<SystemNumber of BW>/tcp

Dear Henry,

Thank you for the information, I managed to solve it.
The connection string provided are correct except my password.

When entering correct password then the connection goes thru.
