delete overlapping requests from infocube dtp

Hi,

I want to add to my Process Chain the option "delete overlapping requests from infocube" DTP.

I tried to find in the web where  I need to insert this option in the PC but i didnt find.

The PC is now built this way :

1. Delete PSA

2. Delete content (of the cube)

3. Execute info package

4. DTP

where do I need to combine the "delete overlapping requests from infocube" in the PC??

How can I check that it is really working ?

Is it work on FULL and DELTA loading ?

Hi Rob,

I can see that you already have a cube content deletion step in the existing flow, but again why you are going to add this new deletion process type.

It would be best to use this when we are doing a full load to cube.

You can use this process type after the DTP process. Please test it in Dev or QA system.

Hi Rob,

Yes that is correct sequence. you need to do some settings for the 4th step that are available at the end of the screen after you created this process type.

Thanx for all ! I did the overlapping on my PC on the cubes.

Is this option is available on cubes only ?

What about DSO's an MasterData ?

For DSO/master data its not required. So there is no process type to delete data from dso/master data.Because data will overwrites in DSO/MD. but in case of cube data will be added.

Delete overlapping request works for full load only.

Why you want delete whole content of the cube?

if you delete whole content of the ucbe then you don't need to use delete overlapping request. Because delete content is deleting whole data so there no chance to overlap data at cube level;.
