Client want date field should  editable can any one help us please

Hi,

It should not be editable field. Let me explain.

Suppose Doc no - 10001, Type - TYP, Part - 000, Ver - 00 Initially valid from will be blank.

When we create a new version, the valid from date will be filled automatically. This date will be flew from Change master in CC01.

(i-e) Version 00 is valid to 19.08.2015 and 01 will valid from 20.08.2015.

Dear Inayath,

The field you mentioned is related to engineering change management (ECM) which will flow ECM, There you can create the change master using CC01, we cna use the change number for the DMS document as mentioned below and the validity of the change number will be picked from this master.

Business scenario: To track changes with respect to ECM.
