Dear Sir,

We are using PS for industrial manufacturing scenario .  To control the booking of certain class of raw materials against the WBS of the project , We are looking for the steps / method where the planned cost can be defined .

In our scenario , We want to defined RAW material consumption cost in following 3 categories :

Steel / Forging

Welding

Electricals

The above 3 categories  , pertains to combination of Material-Group .

In our scenario , the Raw Material is issued against Production Order and these Production Orders have Account Assignment as Project WBS .

I request members to kindly guide us on the above requirement please .

With Regards

Do you want just financial planning of these 3 categories on the WBS?  Remember that planning data is really stored on the Cost Element so might need new accounts if you want to see actual costs by these categories as well.

Since are using production orders the raw materials issued to the prod order will not show their costs on the WBS, the WBS will see the cost of the material issued to it which is the Prod order header material.

There many variables which determine where costs show up and how they are reportable.

Hi B V Mittal,

Assign materials to network activity (Automatic planning will be used as material assigned and planned cost will be calculated accordingly) and RUN MRP so if you dont have that material in stock than system will create PR otherwise planned order will be created. than you can process via Planned order> production order and consumption via routing and settle to WBS.

thanks
