Substitution mode RECEIVE_TASKS not supported for provider in Fiori Inbox

Hi Experts,

We have implemented Fiori Inbox functionality for Substitution option (Client doesn't have Portal to maintain substitutes and don't access SAP R/3).

In the Inbox, I selected 'Manage My Substitutes' option on the top right corner. I selected 'Add New Substitute', entered the substitute, selected 'Task Group' as 'All' and selected the validity period.

When I click on 'Save' button I'm getting an error 'Substitution mode RECEIVE_TASKS not supported for provider'.

Can you please guide me what I have to do at the backend to resolve this error. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Hi Manohar,

Which workflow provider do you use? SAP Business Workflow or BPM workflow?

Dear Masa,

We are using SAP Business Workflow provider for inbox. We are on below support packs.

• SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SPS 09
• Front-End Server: Front-End Component of App UIX01CA1 100 SP05
• Front-End Server: Gateway ComponentSAP IW PGW 100 (IW_PGW 100) SP07.

Hi Monohar,

I think you have not applied mandatory notes for Gateway. Please double check this.

Our Result is the same - we get an error in the Inbox Substitute Modus:

We checked the Class: /IWPGW/CL_TGW_FACADE_BWF_V2

and found the method: /IWPGW/IF_TGW_TCM_2_EHP1~CREATE_SUBSTITUTION_RULE

This check the substitute_role-mode:

* Check for supported substitution mode
   IF is_substitution_rule-mode IS INITIAL OR
      is_substitution_rule-mode EQ gcs_substitute_mode-receive_my_tasks OR
      is_substitution_rule-mode EQ gcs_substitute_mode-take_over.
   ELSE.
     MESSAGE e011(/iwpgw/tgw_service) INTO lv_message WITH is_substitution_rule-mode.
     RAISE EXCEPTION TYPE /iwbep/cx_mgw_busi_exception
         EXPORTING textid = /iwbep/cx_mgw_busi_exception=>business_error
                   message = lv_message.
   ENDIF.

The Mode "RECEIVE_TASK" run on ERROR-Message.

I can't change them - because the gcs_substitute is set in private and no enhancements are possible to change is_substitution - because the system block this.

So please help me, how can I change "RECEIVE_TASK" as mode or solve the Problem

Hi Roland,

Please double check that you use the latest SP. It saves your troubleshooting time.

Also check the SP level for My Inbox.
