New installation Netweaver 7.42 SR2 using Software Provisioning Manager

Hi,

since a few days ago i have problems with a clean installation of Netweaver 7.42 ABAP using Software Provisioning Manager.

The prerequisites checks are all OK, but when i try to install Netweaver 7.4 SR2 with MSSQL Application ABAP Standard system. All the times stuck at the same point.

At the attached files you will see the Developer Trace of disp+work.exe.

Any suggestion?

The system is a Windows Server 2012 R2 and MS SQL server 2012 installed with the bat file. Firewall is disabled in all zones

Any help will be appreciated.

Hello,

You could remove the parameter "rdisp/TRACE" if you have set it manually. No need for level 2 traces, yet .

At the dev_disp trace, the work processes are dying:

Hello Josep,

You are on the right track!

The VM (operating system) cannot resolve that hostname.

One possible solution is to edit the hosts file and at it there, mapping it to the appropriate IP address.

Hi Josep, I'm having this exact problem in AWS, how did you overcome it? I've tried adding a row to the hosts file but that doesn't seem to have changed the ability of the system to resolve the address.

the screen shots suggest that the installation stuck in mid way and has stopped . u can have more clear view by checking the logs .

so can u paste the logs .

Hi Josep,

Since you are facing issue in starting the instance .. that means instance is already installed but not able to start... have you tried to start it manually and check..

Can you please check the same.
