How to interpret MPX & CP License Count in SAP IQ.

Kindly interpret the below licenses information.

1 MPX Grid.

8 Core CP .

8 Core UDA CP

8 Core ASO CP

Does it mean -

1. We can add 1 more node in cluster making the total no of nodes =2.One Cordinator and the other Failover.

2. Would Each node support 8 core or 4 Core ?.

3. Does UDA and ASO license needs to be generated & applied separately.

You have a total of 8CP of IQ + options that can be split between 2 multiplex nodes (1+7, 2+6, 3+5, 4+4).  Depending on your physical layout, you may also need sub-capacity licensing if you are deploying the CP licenses on a larger physical core count.

The licenses must be generated correctly for each node (CP+UDA+ASO).  i.e. the core counts must match.  II believe the node used as the co-ordinator also should have the multiplex license applied to it so it can have the worker node generated and attached to it.

You also have the option of just deploying all 8 licenses on a single node with no multiplex.

The MPX_NODE license applies to all write and read nodes, not the coordinator.
