SPAM error "Index RSLTIPT-010 could not be created"

Former Member

Dear Experts,

During SW components upgrade using SPAM, I struck in Import phase "IMPORT_PROPER" with error "Index RSLTIPT-010 could not be created".

But I see that, this index is already avaliable for table TBATG in SAP system but not in HANA database.

Could you please help me on how to replicate it in database? See the error screenshot in attachment.

Any ideas, please?

Thanks & best regards,

Sreenu

Hi,

Please try to delete the existing index and again try to create index manually.

Please confirm your observations.

Hi Karthik,

I am not able to delete the existing index from the table using debugging mode according to the link:

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e076abe3-6e2c-2e10-b7ab-f1ae650de...

According to above link, when I click on code name in standard code and try to edit the variable "code"value to "DELE" from "SHOW", it's not getting updated. So, the table menu  SE11 -> Table Entry ->  Delete Entry is deactivated. See the screnshots in attachment.

Any ideas, please?

Thanks & best regards,

Sreenu

Hi,

Check in DBACOCKPIT or DB02 is it listed in Missing Indexes... and create all missing indexes from there and retry the upgrade.

Hi Sreenu,

This problem has been stumping me for a few days, too. I finally came across the following Note that solved the problem: 2136898 - Missing Database Index after Upgrade from SAP Business Warehouse 7.40 SP8 to 7.40 SP 12 or....

Hello Srinivas,

Please check Following SAP note :-

1413569 - Index for SMSCMAID table for Performance and Upgrade

It talks about similar situation.

Please use this note as reference, as this note does not talk about exact Index RSLTIPT

I hope this gives you help

Hi Sreenivasa,

You can recreate or adjust the index using Se14 tcode and retry the SPAM Update again.

Let us know if you need any further help on this.

Hi Anand,

Thank you for your Hint.

Your recommended OSS note is not exactly matching to my Issue.

Any other ideas, please?

Hi Karthik,

Thank you for your Hint.

I tried to create the missing Index in database via DB02. But, I get the error messages:

The SQL statement was not executed

Index could not be created completely in the database

Index RSLTIPT-010 could not be created

Reason of the error says,  "This could be caused by the fact that an index with the same name exists in the database, but it is unknown to the ABAP/4 Dictionary. Activating the index in the ABAP/4 Dictionary is possible, but it is not possible to create it in the database".

But, I don't even find it in HANA studio when I checked using the SQL command  select * from sys.indexes

Any ideas, please?

Thanks & best regards,

Sreenu

Hi Sreenivasa ,

a ) Check this following Note  and proceed as suggested in the Note

2031638 - R3load terminates during creation of an index for a field of the type LOB

or  ( Not recommended )

b ) Please drop this index  ( Using DB2 procedures ) and proceed further

  db2 "DROP INDEX <index_name>"

Thanks ,

Manu

Hi Sriram,

I am running entire stack which SAP recommends and I assume that this error is applicable to the entire stack.

Sreenu
