Hi,

Trying to setup Maintenance Optimizer for an EHP7 Upgrade.

I am sure my settings are correct, but according to Mopz its not.

This is an Solution Manager 7.1 & ERP6.0 EHP4 Systems.

Running Maintenance Optimizer Transaction getting the following two errors:

  • Transaction must be assigned to a Standalone Product Version!
  • Please assign ERP 6.0 to the Maintenance Optimizer transaction!

Not sure what i am missing.

In SMSY i can see

PRODUCT SYSTEMS: SAP ERP 6.0 & EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0

SOLUTION LANDSCAPE:  I have assigned logical Component Z_ERP6_EHP

Product Version is EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0

          SAP Systems are defined.

Not sure where  is hould make the changes MOPZ is complaining about.

Thank you for any support you may be able to provide.

Regards,

Johann

Hello Johann,

It may be the problem with the Solution and product version which you have selected in MOPZ.. while starting the transaction.

Can you please check that..

Hi All,

Thank you for all your input.

Karthik was on the right track. The correct answer was within SNOTE: 1702990 - Error Transaction must be assigned to a Standalone Product

I had both Logical Components ERP6.0 and EHP defined but systems where defined only within EHP it must have been maintained within ERP6.0.

Once changed i could run a request via MOPZ Transaction for ERP6.0 Select SID and run calculations.

Thank you

Hi Johann,

You have to update SP level from SPS04 to latest one SPS13 using SUM tool and please go ahead with EHP upgrade.

Hello Johann,

Please upgrade your solution manager from SP04 to SP12 both ABAP and JAVA.

Then your issue will be resolved.

Hi Johann

Please make sure in LMDB your system is defined correctly.

Check the system in LMDB since you are using version SP4 (I guess) , try to migrate into LMDB from the SMSY. Check if the product system being assigned in LMDB.

Then assigned appropriate diagnostic relevant flag for the standalone version.

Thanks

Hi Rishav,

SMSY and LMDB is in Sync.

LMDB:

Product Systems assigned

Product Version i have ERP 6.0 & EHP4 FOR SAP ERP6.0 both Installed and Diagnostics selected.

On Managed System Configuration i have Diagnostic Relevant selected.

PS. Verification Tool for entire landscape and systems is green no errors.

The only thing i can think of is the Product Instances that is selected as Diagnostics Relevant under "Technical System Editor: Software" might be incorrect.

Pretty much everything for EHP4 is selected. System wont allow me to deselect the non-relevant ones. Believe this partly due to the fact that who ever did the previous upgrade went and upgraded every single component even the ones that are non-relevant to the business. As a result the assignment of relevant products is compared to the actual layout of the software component versions.

Not sure where else to check.

Thanx

Johann

Hi Jaskirat,

Thank you for the note it is very nice.

However everything is maintained as mentioned in the note.

As you can see in LMDB my DEV system and others are all maintained in the same way.

SMSY Logical Component was created for both EHP and ERP6.0  systems where added and they are added so SAP ERP Solution.

Thank you for your assistance. If you have any other ideas please let me know.

Regards,

Johann
