Hi,
Is it possible to create a tab delimited or a .CSV file in a receiver file adapter ??

HI,
It is possible to create a tab delimited/.csv file in a receiver file adapter by choosing "File content conversion" as a Message Protocol. But you need to do content conversion based on structure.

Also - thought of something that bit us - if you don't map all the fields in your destination layout, but you need every field to appear in the destination (as we typically do...) you must at least map "empty" to those fields so that content conversion will convert the empty tags to your fixed widths, or put the necessary commas in for CSV.

you bet. In help.sap.com, navigate thru NW04, adapters, file adapter, content conversion in the receiver.
