Webdynpro application with Password Protection

Hi Experts,

We are implementing SPNEGO with SAP EP 7.4 SP 8 but one challenge in this scenario is to make ESS/MSS applications password protected after SPNEGO.

Once User will logged into Portal through SPNEGO, he/she should be able to access ESS/MSS application with Password.

So all this applications should be password protected.

How can we achieve this ?

Please suggest ASAP.

Hi,

Webdynpro 'Application' has property 'Authentication'.

It should be true nothing else needed.

Also check following if applicable-

I Would like to ask few things:

1) Can we set same property for Standard applications (WAR, EAR files) (Standard DC import and export)

2) We are trying to check with AUTHSCHEME parameter properties of an IVIEW. Does this work?

Hi Krunal,

-Not sure if you can set same property to WAR, EAR.(unless there is facility to configure application)

-But if you are using standard iView templates to display these applications, Those iView must be containing property 'Authentication Scheme'. It will prompt you for Authentication if your application is not providing it.(So for 2nd point - Yes, I think it will work)
