I have users who are getting blind copies of workflow messages.  If they delete them will the real workflow tasks be affected?

Thanks,

Jim

Hello,

You can only have a BCC of an email, not a workitem. So they can delete them.

Test it first in QA of course!

Thanks, Rick.  I've looked at testing the deletes, but it's very difficult to actually match up one of these notifications to the workitem that it relates to.  It's probably pretty obvious that I'm not that experienced with analyzing workflow issues.  I've tried to match up these notifications and actual work items by date and time, but that hasn't been very helpful.

Hello,

Could you give an example of the contents of one of these messages?

It might be apparent that it is an email, which is almost certain.

In any case, you can't delete a workitem, you can only execute it or forward it.

Hi Rick,

This is what the the notification has for content.

Thanks,

Yes, that's just an email. You can do whatever you want with it.

Hi Jim

Just as a thumb rule in SCN....you should mark the correct answer which helped you .... which is the last response from Rick.

Hi Jim

"blind copies of workflow messages"  -> Sent to them in SAP workflow inbox? Notifications as BCC recipients ? AND NOT the work items, right?

Deleting them from where? From the users SAP Workflow Inbox?

Modak

Hi Modak,

Yes, that's what I was thinking.  I want to make sure that the notifications in the inbox of the user who is really supposed to do the work are not affected if we delete these copies.

Thanks,

Jim
