InitSID.sap missing in sap installation on oracle 12C installation

Hello Everyone,

I'm facing a problem when executing brtools in one of my new installation systems.

it is installed as Netweaver 7.4 on oracle 12C.

users oracle used for executing brtools in oracle 12C.

please find the error message

BR1001I BRSPACE 7.40 (16)

BR0252E Function fopen() failed for '/oracle/SID/121/dbs/initSID.sap' at location BrInitSapRead-1

BR0253E errno 2: No such file or directory

BR0159E Error reading BR*Tools profile /oracle/SID/121/dbs/initSID.sap

BR0700E Fatal errors occurred - terminating processing...

BR1008I End of BRSPACE processing: sereasjk.log 2015-08-13 17:26:53

it is saying initSID.sap is missing. However i didn't change any standard installation inputs, bit still initSID.sap has not created.

how do we execute brtools in Oracle 12C.

Hi,

     Try to restore your parameter files using database backup and brtools by the option of:

     5 - Restore and Recover

     7 - Disaster Recovery

          - Select init<SID>.sap to YES and Continue

Hi,

Are you able to find the mentioned .sap file in the mentioned directory?
You may need to check SAP note 1598594  for the permission.
