Shortfall of 370 days against remaining shelf life in current item

Hi MM Folks,

Batch was created along with material (BSSBMMN0300D3) and Batch (15Q2) and along with Plant XXXX.

Date of manufacturer : 08.08.2015

Shelf Life Exp.Date  : 08.2019

Vendor               : VN12345

In purchase info Record we have maintained 5 yrs shelf life

In Material Master General Plant Data/ Storage1 view - Min. Rem. Shelf Life : 24 Months and Total Shelf life :48 Months was maintained.

We have created a PO with delivery date 30.08.2015 and Quantity 10.

while creating Goods Receipt against Inbound delivery- Posting date was given 13.08.2015,Batch was given 15Q2 and Date of Manufacture: 08.08.2015

and system caluclates the SLED/ BBD as 08.08.2019 and throuwing an error Shortfall of 370 days against remaining shelf life in current item (5 Year)

message No: Message no. 12007

I have tried with different methods but could not able to sorted it out. Please can you help for the same.]

Your help will be highly appreciable...!!!!

Your purchasing order have remaining shelf life as 5 years as posted in the screen shot above in delivery tab. Change it to 48 months then try again posting your GR.

Hi Jagdeep

We have changed PIR - Total shelf life as 48 months and we tried to do GRN against Inbound delivery but giving as same error.

In PO - should we give delivery date in the Future date or should be past date.

Any change in master data is not forwarded to already existing transaction data like PO or deliveries. If your change shall be valid for open documents then you have to update those open documents too.

You should not change the the delivery date at all as this is nonsense has nothing to do with the problem. You have to change the min remaining shelf life only.

Delivery date have nothing to do with Min Remaining shelf life captured in the PO screen. Chaging the PIR does not update the existing purchase orders. Make are changes as suggested from 5 y to 4 y or as per the change you did in the PIR for already existing purchase orders.. Until you make that change .. GR reference to PO.. PO have incorrect data.. Boom ..Error..

Hi,

Check the Remaining shelf life maintaion in material master view of Gen Plant data/storage 1 which cause your concern.

did you eventually change the min rem shelf life in the material master after the PO was created?

What value do you see in the PO item delivery tab?

Hi Jurgen,

after PO created I did not change Min rem shelf life in the material master. I have checked in Purchase Info Record Total shelf life was maintained as 5 Years.

In PO - Item Delivery tab showing as Planned delivery time as 45 days and Remaining shelf life as 5 years. Please see the below pic for referance.
