RF queue changes

Hi

Could anyone advise if queues become "locked" when a transfer order is changed from one queue to another.

Our transfer orders are 2 step, and when the first step is confirmed our programs then change the queue for the second step to be actioned.

We have had instance where the queue change has not occured and can find no reason for it.

Is it possilbe that if user1 confirmed a first step pick of transferorder1 at the same time user2 confirmed transferorder2 that one or both might not be able to complete?

Thanks for your help.

No, this shouldn't be a problem with your TOs.

Standard SAP most of the time uses enqueue/dequeue/commit work - so I don't think this is possible to happen.

I think it's very possible that your custom code needs some rewriting.
If you can post the ABAP code and your user exit where you implemented it, we could analyze and look for a possible reason for this.

Thank you for the reply.

The RF code has been in use for the last 8 years and has worked well.  Just a period of 8 hours yesteday it stopped which is why I was wondering if it was some sort of lock issue

All the best
